BUT SO WHAT IF I SIMPLY SHOOT?

How many contacts do you have in your cellphone’s address book? Out of all of the numbers you have, how many can you call when you’re in distress? Let’s say you need help. Not just some favour. I mean, a real, deep, need for help. The type that is really inconvenient. Like in a life or death situation. The type that tests your friendship.
How many can you really count on?
If you can find but one, thank God that you have such a person in your life. You matter in someone’s life.
And if you are that someone who can be counted on in another person’s address book, be thankful too. Someone knows that he or she matters to you.
Do not… no, NEVER underestimate or relegate the value of human connections. One day, someone might need you. Or you may need someone. How woeful it is for the person who cannot find someone to count on in times of desperate need. It may be better for the person to ignorantly suffer in silence, than to discover that he has no choice but to suffer alone in silence.
There is a difference between friends and acquaintances:
An acquaintance is someone you happen to meet along the course of life.
Its relationship is based on a deal.
A friend is someone you have in the course of life.
Its relationship is based on a seal.
Make sure you know whom they are. It may be one of the most important discoveries in your life.
